Jake teamed up with Matty McMahon to tell the story of Chris Banta, aka “Romanus Records”. Chris is one of a handful of people in the world who can create liquid filled vinyl. After 2 years of coverage, they premiered it in April of 2023 and it won a regional Emmy™ from the Central Great Lakes chapter.

“Hot Ones” Brad Underwood

In 2021, Jake was asked to bring his crew to Champaign, Illinois to create a special episode of “Hot Ones” on Complex Network. The crew brought everything involved for the shoot and created the set in under an hour to successfully shoot the episode in the time allotted in the stadium.

“Mississippi’s Hands”

During the lockdown of 2020’s pandemic, Jake teamed up with Director Will Wertz to create a short documentary about a local sign painter named Jasper Travis, aka “Mississippi”. Little did they know, they would walk into a home with hundreds of stories about his life with his wife Brenda. The film was shot on a mix of 16mm,35mm, VHS, and digital bolex by DP Kassim Norris. The movie premiered locally at the Kan Kan Cinema for family and friends and expects to hit the 2021-2022 festival circuit.
